Create master group to push updates (or bulk edits/deletes) to other groups: Files/Notes/Tasks/Events/Discussions
We have a lot of repetitive tasks. Ideally we'd want to fill in a template task and assign.
Just like being able to add a file to multiple groups, it would be nice to be able to delete a file from multiple groups. Very time consuming to have to go into every group to delete the same file.
I would like to have the ability to create a discussion that is replicated across multiple groups.
I would like to use this function for education items, videos etc. and then have the ability to create discussion around that eduction.
At this moment we are using Trello. But would love to make it possible to use tasks in our portal. We can only use it if templates would be available
I really like this idea and will vote for it, but it's not a High priority for me. It's a "nice to have"
It would be great to have the option of saving a group of task as a template. or a task list (with subtask) as a template which can then be duplicated and used on different projects across the company
Thank you for the feature request!
You could always create a CSV file containing your basic tasks you tend to use alot, then simply import them into groups etc. This could be an alternative work-around for the time being?
@Keavey Nelson: That will be troublesome, now every SAAS is looking at plug & play, 1 click does all features....
@Keavey Nelson: I Voted for the feature request, but found your answer helpful. Going to try this workaround now and see if it helps somehow, or make it any easier. Thank you! :)
This is really crucial for us! We've a lot of Milestone/Tasks that are the same for every project. Plus, our Welcome Note is the same (should not be editable by non-Admins either!)
@CH: Hi Brook,
You can restrict the editing permissions of the welcome note by:
1. Going into the 'Permissions' tab that is present under the Welcome Note (when in the notes tab)
2. From the drop-down, select 'All members can VIEW this note', this will give the note view only permissions.
3. Then within the 'Additional individual permissions', add the appropriate members you wish to grant access to edit the welcome note to!
I hope this helps- Keavey
